Multisectoral Stakeholder Collaboration for Holistic Health Interventions, Dar es Salaam – Tanzania
On the 14th and 15th May 2025, the Changemaker project team at AAPH brought together a diverse group of stakeholders; teachers, urban farming experts, and nutritionists for a co-design workshop that built upon earlier sessions with parents and students. This strategic meeting aimed to align professional expertise with community-driven designs, ensuring the planned interventions are both evidence-based and grounded in real-world experience.
Discussions focused on refining ideas proposed by students and parents, assessing their feasibility, risks, and long-term benefits. Participants collaboratively explored how schools can implement and sustain urban farms; how health modules could be delivered in an engaging yet informative manner; and what cross-sector partnerships are needed for successful implementation and sustainability.
The workshop affirmed the power of multisectoral collaboration in designing holistic solutions for adolescent health. By engaging technical experts with firsthand experiences from schools and communities, the Changemaker project is charting a course toward inclusive, impactful, and sustainable health interventions for adolescents and youth.
