Co-designing Interventions

Co-design can be described as a user-centered approach allowing to research and develop interventions with and for end-users through all stages of the research, implementation and evaluation of an evidence project-based codesign (EBCD) approach. This allows us to explore and incorporate the experience of adolescents, urban planners, teachers, school administration in all stages of the research process. We will use this co-design approach in this project to adapt the four evidence-based intervention ideas to the relevant contexts. This will allow development of the interventions based on context specific factors and needs, which in turn allows for increased ownership and sustainability. The co-design process will be held separately in each of the three cities, but learning across sites will be shared in common workshop throughout the process. The relevant and context specific stakeholders for each process and country will be identified during the stakeholder mapping process. There will be four co-design processes in line with the four intervention arms with separate objectives:

  1. Co-design the sustainable urban farming.
  2. Co-design sustainable health modules for the classroom.
  3. Co-design content and delivery mechanism for community health talks using motivational interviewing (MI).
  4. Co-design for WHO Best Buys.
